The best wedding speeches are often a difficult part of a bride’s perfect, dream wedding plans. Follow along as I share some helpful tips on writing and giving a great bride’s wedding speech.
Bride’s wedding speeches and toasts should express the bride’s gratitude to her parents and family, to her husband’s family, to friends who have helped in making the wedding preparations an easier task and to all the guests who have taken their time to witness this joyous occasion.
Relax and be yourself.include special moments you have had with the groom, when and where you first met, etc. Don’t be afraid to use jokes or humor in your bride’s wedding speech.
Practice your bride’s speech and have some notes on cue card you can reference while giving your brides wedding speech. Even when you have your best wedding speech down pat in practice, giving your speech in front of an audience can cause nerves to take over, so notes always help. You know the people you will be giving your wedding speech to, so relax and deliver you best wedding speech as if you were talking to your friends, because you are!
The brides wedding speech is a personal thank you to all the people that helped you get to your wedding day, as well a your chance to thank the groomsmen and bridesmaids for all they have done for you during your wedding ceremony.I hope you will find the information i have provided helpful. My last advice is to enjoy your special day, and I hope your best bride’s wedding speech is part of your perfect, dream wedding plans.
You offer an excellent suggestion that the bride have a set of note cards to prompt her memory, if needed, during delivery of her bride’s speech.
If the bride doesn’t want to carry these notes around, herself, she could given them to her maid/matron of honor to hold until needed. A good back-up plan might be to give a duplicate set to the Master of Ceremonies, who could hand them over to the bride either just prior to or after the introductory MC speech.
I also appreciate your advice to the bride to enjoy her day. It would be unfortunate for a bride to allow fear of public speaking to spoil her reception in the slightest regard. As you note, the bride is among friends and if she can remember this and relax (knowing that she has those memory-jogging note cards if she needs them), she’ll have not only a wonderful speech, but a wonderful wedding and happy memories of the day.
